Christian
Dating
The term "Christian" only appears
three times in the Bible. It is derived from the Greek word
Christianos (khris-tee-an-os') and it is translated as "follower of
Christ." So, what
exactly is a follower of Christ? Being a Christian does not simply
mean believing in God, or being a good person or just going to
church, being baptized or taking communion. Although all this is
being done by a true Christian but being a Christian means you have
a personal relationship with Christ, by accepting Him as your
personal Lord and Savior. Being a Christian means believing
in:
- Only one God: The Father, The Son
and The Holy Spirit.
- The literal return of Jesus Christ
to first claim His own who belong to Him.
- Believe in prayers.
Christian Dating is specifically
targeted towards Christians only who believes in dating only for a
purpose of a possible marriage and not just dating. For Christians,
marriage is getting away from making any sexual immorality. That is
why Christian Dating is specifically targeted towards Christians
only who have the same beliefs and moral values. Christian singles
who are too busy due to their lifestyles and who have very little
time to look for their perfect match, would definitely like to meet
other Christian singles who share the same moral values and
interests as they do.
Christian Dating Safety
Tips
While dating online, one should be
very cautious of the stranger you are dating with. For a safe
Christian Dating, here are couples of simple to follow
tips:
- Use an anonymous e-mail account.
- Never post your real name anywhere
online.
- Don't rush things - take time to
learn about the person before meeting them personally.
- Do not reveal your personal
information unless you are sure about the person.
- Don't feel pushed for a phone call
or meeting in person. If you feel that you are being pushed, be
straightforward and say no. Move at a comfortable pace.
- Chat on the phone a few times...
what can you hear in the background? Do background noises match
the information you have been told? Is the household supposed to
have children, pets, etc.? Listen, Listen, Listen! Remember to
block caller-ID until you chose to give your number. Note that if
you have been asked to call 800# it’s likely that your phone
number will be recorded on the recipient's phone bill.
- Call at unanticipated times! Someone
who is interested will always enjoy your call. Does someone
unexpected answer the phone? Does your date seem irritable that
you are calling unexpectedly? Perhaps they have something to
hide.
- Ask to have a family photo! Is your
date a 'family man?' Is he/she proud of the children? Do the kids
seem to match the details you were told?
- As a part of courtesy, do respond to
each email you get from the members interested in you. Even if you
are not interested, simply say thanks and God Bless.
- Being a Christian show honor,
respect, be kind and gentle to your partner while dating.
- If the other member is not
interested in you, let it go.
- No Sex! You're messing with God's
child, here.
